New Stanley Sweetheart Chisels

We are now stocking Stanley Sweetheart Chisels, and have been extremely impressed with the quality of these wood chisels.

The new line of Sweetheart socket chisels are based on the classic 750 design, which is arguably the best Stanley chisel ever made. Machined from high carbon steel, the new Sweetheart chisels sharpen easily and retain a razor-sharp edge over long periods of use. Their side bevels are extra narrow for working in tight corners. This helps the user to avoid inadvertent marring of the work when precise cuts are critical. Designed for striking and paring, the hornbeam handle provides a comfortable feel that transfers energy effectively when struck by a mallet. It also provides a wide butt end, or large sweet spot, for striking accuracy.

Manufactured in Sheffield, England, the new Sweetheart chisels are available in the following sizes: 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 1", and 1-1/4". With the exception of the largest two chisels (which will retail for approximately $39.99), the Sweetheart™ chisels will retail for approximately $29.99. Also available are two chisel sets; a 4-piece set (Stanley 16-791, $119) as well as an 8-piece set (Stanley 16-793, $199). The Sweetheart 8-piece set features a 1/8" chisel for working in tight spaces that 1/4" chisels cannot access. Both sets come with a leather pouch and all chisels are currently in stock at Burns Tools.
