New Tools from Makita

Makita raises the bar again with a new 18V Compact Driver-Drill
(a category created by Makita). They have also launched two new hard-hitting demolition hammers!


New 18V Compact Driver-Drill (LXFD01CW)
In 2006, Makita created the 18V Compact Lithium-Ion category with the BDF452HW. Now, Makita raises the bar again with the new 18V Compact Lithium-Ion Cordless ½" Driver-Drill (LXFD01CW). This new drill delivers more torque (480 in.lbs.) with less weight (3.3 lbs.), and a more compact size (7-9/16"). The new LXFD01CW will continue Makita's domination of the 18V Compact category.


New 11 lb. Demolition Hammer (HM0870C)
The new HM0870C (accepts SDS-MAX bits) features a Makita-built 10 AMP motor with 1,100 - 2,650 BPM and 11.4 Joules of impact energy. Other features include soft start, electronic speed control, variable speed control dial to match the speed to the application, and more. Ideal for a range of breaking, chipping and demolition applications.



New 20 lb. Demolition Hammer (HM1203C)
The new HM1203C (accepts SDS-MAX bits) delivers more power and less vibration, with less weight. The HM1203C is powered by a Makita-built 14 AMP motor with 950 - 1,900 BPM and a full 25 Joules of impact energy. The HM1203C is engineered with soft start, electronic speed control, variable speed control dial to match the speed to the application, and more. Ideal for a range of breaking, chipping and demolition applications.


New Finishing Sander (BO3710)
Makita's new Finishing Sander (BO3710) delivers 11,000 OPM for efficient sanding and a smooth finish. It also has through-the-pad dust collection, an internal counterbalance system for less vibration, and an ergonomic rubberized grip and handle designed for better fit and added comfort. Ideal for finish carpentry and renovation.



New Dust Shroud (195236-5)
Makita offers over 28 grinders, with 12 in the 4-1/2" to 5" range. And now, Makita offers a dust shroud attachment for improved dust extraction. The new shroud mounts to all Makita 4-1/2" to 5" grinders, with a standard hose-fitting engineered to work with most vacuum systems.


LS1016L Miter Saw Named "Top Tool"

Makita's 10" Dual Slide Compound Miter Saw continues to get attention from contractors, woodworkers, and top editors alike. Wood Magazine recently tested eight 10" Sliding Miter Saws and published their findings in the December issue for their 500,000+ readers. The verdict? The editors picked the Makita LS1016L as the "Top Tool" in the test.
