Lamello has announced the launch of a new version of the "Classic" series biscuit joiner which will replace the Classic C3. This new tool is the Lamello Classic X biscuit joiner.
What is the difference? As with the new Top 21 and the Zeta biscuit joiners, there is a new base with swiveling front stop which has different stop square that is flush with the width of the swiveling front stop. The dovetail slides are now on the front face of the stops and are more accurate as well as ergonomic. These new features have now been put in the Classic X. The Classic X will also have a different motor which is now a more powerful 780 watts instead of 700 watts. This X-motor is slimmer and more ergonomic than the older C3 motor.
Another nice bonus feature is the packaging. Several years ago the Classic C3 dropped its wooden box packaging, going to a cardboard box, which was usually thrown out immediately. The new box is attractive and can actually be used to store the tool in the shop or work truck. It comes complete with a plastic inner tray and handle on the fold over flap.
